A Lovely Day

No matter what your political views, today is a day that has already changed the course of history forever. I am moved by the many images I see - the elderly who have witnessed first hand the treacheries of prejudice and ignorance being wheeled in to watch Martin Luther King's vision become reality; the great lengths being taken by the Obama's to preserve family stability in a very unusual and potentially unstable situation; and the incredible image of Michelle Obama bringing a gift to Laura Bush at the Presidential coffee this morning with a sincere look of understanding and compassion on her face. It is a great day for our human family...let's enjoy it for what it is. Let's not spend the day in criticism of our "family members". Let's put aside our personal views and rise to a new day of reconciliation and forging ahead towards changing this country for the better! Thank You, Jesus, for the democratic process we are blessed to have in this country - thank You for the privelage of being alive during this exciting time - bless this country, our new President and his family, and may Your kingdom come, Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven!
